Loads of fabulous prizes to be won: cruises and travel to the
most beautiful places in the world, diving and underwater photographic
equipment, portable GPS and much more. The total value of all
awards is 20.000 euros.
A selection of the work will be exhibited to the public and will
be shown for the duration of "IL MARE A MILANO": eight
days of art, entertainment and science, events and exhibitions
relating to the sea, entirely free (more than 20.000 visitors
in the last edition).
* Two categories: Advanced and Beginners;
* Eight different sections: a total of 24 winners will be awarded
from jury;
* Prints, diapos, digital photos and videos may be presented;
* Processing work section: sea images, obtained by digital processing
and/or photomontage;
* Sea outside water section: dedicated to "dry" photographers;
* Public vote prize: three more winners will be awarded by visitors;
* Best biological prize: one more winner will be awarded by a
special jury of biologists;
The work received will contribute towards education and research programs and projects of the Civic Aquarium of Milan for the protection of marine environments.
No registration fee for foreigner authors.
