More than 19,000 Km. and 24 hours of flight they separate any capital European of Port Moresby, the capital of New Guinea, starting point toward a world largely unknown.

From Port Moresby an air net will allow to cover the remaining distance toward the prehistory.

It is a country of so complex geography that without this plot of serious communications impossible to establish contact with the human groups far away. Small asphalt hints or clay will be the end of this route.

The highways are practically nonexistent, exception of the one that Lae unites with mount. Haguen, of 341 Km. approximately (not always passable), and some tracts among Port Moresby, Medan, Wewak, Rabaul (New Britain) and Kabieng (New Ireland). All these populations they are starting points for the possible trips toward a world practically ignore, where each step supposes to go back one year in the history.

The most surprising note, the but valuable., scientific and humanly, it is the isolation of these groups.

It is of enormous importance, for the man that participates in the development of the western civilization, to meet face to face with a fellow man, that this with relationship to the, at a distance of thousands of years. And this encounter supposes a privilege of which we don't end up being fully conscious.

These people have lived isolated a lot of time. But that limited in the one I space of their world it would not allow them to have a clear conscience of this same fact.

The great extension of New Guinea, the big mountains, the difficulties to move of a place to other, even for the rivalries or hostilities among neighboring towns, forced these men to an isolation and some conditions of life similar to those of the prehistoric man, in those which, in many cases they still persist.

The human but isolated groups, located in the mountainous areas of the interior, they will have been pushed, along the centuries, for other more advanced towns, throwing to the survivors, toward an impassable barrier of vegetation, to a mysterious, unknown world, inhospitable, of inextricable orography.

High mountains covered with dense vegetation, deep fence, throats for where they open up step tumultuous torrents, origin of mighty rivers, savannas of high grasses where the heat and the humidity favors multitude's of insects existence.

Against all these natural weapons he/she had to face the man. In their precipitate escape, the towns should be divided, in families and tribes, in search of means of subsistence, creating new frontiers based in the fear.

Laws and local rites related with the death, the would arise the beings' fecundity and the earth, imploring the presences and the sages the ancestors' advice.

This pressure makes to these fearful and suspicious men at the beginning. They are accustomed to this way always alert and with fear. It is part of their attitude before a half hostile one.

The centuries passed this way in New Guinea. You fight internal, immigrations coming from Polinesia and Micronesia: some so alone one left their prints in the coast or adjacent islands; others penetrated but in their interior, forming a racial mixture and linguistics that it counts com but of 700 languages and dialects (half of the spoken languages of the planet), with customs and rites that have lasted until the arrival of the I finish immigrant, the man white.

May of 1930, 27 two searchers of gold after reaching a hill, you to be astonished when meeting face to face with a civilization that not well-known neither the iron, neither the wheel. Anchored in the prehistory they took to the white man as a god, or the representation of some of their ancestors.

When seeing that they ate and they defecated, they understood that they were human as them. Michael Litti that was a cameraman besides looking for gold fan, accent in the images that it rotated, perseverance of the one I humble in the time that separated them. Fascinated by the shells, soon they were the exchange currency, for those which they were able to offer the pigs, its well but valuable.

The life whole tour around the cult to their ancestors. But it doesn't seem that these they are entirely outside of their world, if not that some and others they form the society jointly. The posts and the statues with representations human they make possible to the fleshed existence of the dead l to presence physics. Equal happens to the decorated skulls.

In general the art is the men's prerogative. In some areas, all man can be an artist, while in other it constitutes an occupation specialized.

The variety you can appreciate in objects and utensils of use newspaper, such as oars, prows of crafts, ceramic, spatulas, the same as the paintings have more than enough bark of tree fulled call It covers. They are of highlighting the representations of: men, crocodiles, lizards, pigs and birds.

The cult objects have a function in certain ceremonies. Some objects are conserved in the House Tambaran or the house of the men, where don't have access the women neither the children; other they are destroyed once concluded the ceremony.

The fauna and marine flora of this area of the Pacifico, are one of those but varied and showy, as for quantity and variety. The Rhinopias aphanes (poisonous), distant relative of our escorpora, gives us an idea of the mimetismo that they reach some species that populate these waters. The Taeniura limma, kind of a line and the famous marine dragons (I generate Solenostomus) they will make the delights of the submarine photographers.

But not the whole fauna is so it pacifies as these examples, in these waters enough hostile species live to the man, gigantic barracudas banks, the fish stone (warty synancela), sea snakes, jellyfishes and a quantity considerable of species of sharks. The cones, the star of thorns and most of corals can give us a good displeasure, since the wounds of these, mainly in the tropic, they take a lot in healing, and they are of difficult treatment.

It is absolutely advisable the recruiting of a ship for he/she practices it of the diving in these waters, for 200 $per day without it limits of immersions, we can leave toward localizations in those that you will be able to see jetsams of second o'clock world gerra

Airplanes, cargo carriers, destroyers and sunken submarines, are some of the marvels that you will be able to visit. The whole area this of New Guinea and the Salomón was scenario of beats them naval, in the period of 1942 - 1944, they are sowed of remains, as much in the coast as under the water.

An advice the submerged ammunition it is highly unstable, even past many years he/she can make explosion, don't never play howitzers, bullets or grenades .

The presence of marine mammals is also to keep in mind, dugongos, dolphins and orcas, as well as the túnidos presence, blue finn, Serbian (of 150 Kg.), etc. ,sobre everything in open sea and with depths of 70 to 300 m. of water under the keel. In these immersions we will keep in mind the submarine currents (of up to 15 knots) which can give us a good fright.

To conclude a last advice, take a complete isothermic suit, that is to say, a monkey of 3 mm. of thickness, with booties and gloves. The seas tropical they are infested of all type of animal urticantes, to notice in the videos of Costeau, they always take suits that cover them the whole body. This responds to the reason of the fragility of the skin before these attack and to the action of the sun, since the water acts as a lens, and if we make apnea or immersion to little depth, we will swelter the parts literally of our not protected epidermis.

In short, the key in these seas is not to be harmed, if we travel until any tropical sea, him but important it is to conserve our integrity physics, if not a trip of pleasure can be an I authenticate torture.
